Hip
1. Obtain coronal T1 and STIR through entire pelvis
2. Use cornal T1 or IR to prescribe axial PD non fs through painful hip
3. Sagittal T2 fs should be prescribed perpendicular to coronal plane
Remember that for Direct MR Arthrography and patients less than 45 years of age with pain of unknown origin, the axial plane is to be prescribed as an Axial Oblique:
