1. Obtain axial T1 and T2 through thumb
2. Prescribe coronal PD and T2 fs along a line uniting the sesamoids at MTP joint
3. Obtain sag T2 fs prescribed perpendicular to line in step 2
4. Use wrist coil if available
5. When using a wrist coil keep the FOV ~ 10 cm.
